Vintage 14K Yellow Gold Man in the Moon and Green Tourmaline Necklace. This listing is for a 14K Yellow Gold Man in the Moon and Green Tourmaline Necklace. Unfortunately, I was unable to learn any history on the item. It's one of the Coolest and Most Unique items I have ever offered. Man in the Moon Jewelry was seen as early as the Victorian Period.

The Pendant features a Carved Man in the Moon. It's accented with a 25x4mm Green Tourmaline Crystal. The necklace is crafted in solid 14K Yellow Gold.

The back of the pendant is hallmarked 14K CL and the Chain is hallmarked 14K ITALIAN. The 1mm Snake Chain measures 16 long with a Lobster Claw catch. The pendant measures 2 long. The necklace with pendant weigh 5.6 grams. This Necklace is pre-owned, estimated to be an Antique and is in excellent condition.

I'm sure the chain is modern and not original to the pendant. I want to address the very bottom of the Green Tourmaline.

To the eye, it almost appears chipped on the bottom. As I looked at it under a gem scope, the cuts, staggered angles and unpolished planes appear to be natural. I believe the jeweler intentionally left the crystal in the shape and condition it was mined. PHOTOS MAGNIFIED TO SHOW DETAIL.
