Victorian Era 14k Gold Diamond Enamel Pheasant Stick Pin. There are 17 sparkling diamonds encrusted in the body of the stick pin. The largest be approx 2.5mm.

The head, neck and body are enameled. It is hallmarked with a mark I can not make out totally but looks like a fox and something else. The pin stem electronically tested as 14k gold. I can not get an accurate reading for gold content on the pheasant.

The pin measures approx 2 3/4 inches long. The pin head measures approx 25mm by 14mm. Weight is approx 2.7 grams. It will come in the boxed pictured. Please look at all 12 pics as they are part of the description.

All pics enlarged to show details. Because of different gold testing practices (acid, electronic and x ray), items stamped 14k may read or actually be between 13.5k-15k gold. Until 1981, manufactures of jewelry could use gold that was 13.5karat or higher and round off, thus still stamping it 14k. This goes for 18k gold also 17.5k or higher. National Gold and Silver Marking Act of 1981.
