Victorian 14k Yellow Gold Diamond Enamel Floral Love Knot Brooch Pin. The brooch measures approx 30mm in diameter. Diamond is approx 2mm and is prong set. The clasp is in working order. Zoom over pics for condition. Not marked but has been electronically tested and acid tested to be 18k gold. Please look at all 12 pics as they are part of the description. Because of different gold testing practices (acid, electronic and x ray), items stamped 14k may read or actually be between 13.5k-15k gold. Until 1981, manufactures of jewelry could use gold that was 13.5karat or higher and round off, thus still stamping it 14k. This goes for 18k gold also. National Gold and Silver Marking Act of 1981. Most of the items I sell are vintage or antique.
