Antique Victorian 18k Yellow Gold with 9 Rose Cut Diamonds AND 3 Rubies. AN Arrow Brooch / Pin---From an Estate. 3.9 grams total weight or 2.5 pennyweights. The diamonds are very clear and sparkle plenty. I have photographed this many times, trying to show the beauty of this piece and the marks.

The marks just do not come out visible enough on the photographs.. They are as best I can see them: VR40 -- VR40-- 800-- (000)-- KI 18-- KI 18... THESE ARE THE MARKS ON THE SMALL ROUND RUBY SETTINGS AND THE BAR PIN ITSELF. I believe this is Austrian or French or some German State before unification of Germany into one country. THE BASIC BODY OF THE PIN IS YELLOW GOLD AND THE SETTINGS FOR THE DIAMONDS SIDES AND TOPS ARE SILVER COLOR-- THEY MIGHT BE SILVER.

THE CLASP IS A BARREL CLASP. THE SHARP END OF THE GOLD PINSTEM HAS SMALL BENDS ON THE END AND FITS WELL INTO AND OUT OF THE BARREL CLASP.
