This is a amazing late 19th century Victorian authentic Whitby Jet graduated round bead necklace with a sturdy round ball clasp that has brass inserts and is still very functional. The round ball clasp is 8.5 mm round with sturdy brass inserts that were probably once gold filled. The necklace weighs 34 grams and closes very small at 14.5 inches but realistically someone should restring it even though it is very sturdy perfectly wearable right now these beads are just so gorgeous that if restrung to a acceptable length with a couple of gold spacers this will be one amazing antique necklace.
