ESTATE Victorian heart-shape 9k Gold Amethyst & Seed Pearl pendant / brooch

  

Exquisite Heart-shaped Victorian pendant which doubles as a brooch. The brooch is set with one oval amethyst measuring 12.5mm length by 9.0mm width by 5.8mm depth, estimated weight of 3.75 carat and forty eight seed pearls measuring 1.2 - 2.2mm diameter. The amethyst is bright medium purple colour, moderately included and has a pavillion chip noted. (Note-this is not visible to the naked eye). The pearls are white color with cream overtones, uneven surface, fair luster with blemishes and marks noted and two are chipped.

The brooch is made from 9 karat yellow gold finished with bright polish and the pin stem is goldfilled. The amethyst is bezel set and the pearls are bead set in the open work lavaliere style and two pearls are set in the fold under bail which is also removeable.
