Silver Mounted 1886 Sampson Mordan Scent Bottle, Birds Egg Shape, estate find
This is an original Victorian novelty ladies Scent Bottle in the form of a small birds Egg, it has a registration number underneath #20772 and the Sterling Silver mounts are fully hallmarked for a company called Sampson Mordan with the full London Assay marks for 1886 "L" date stamp. From what I can see its all about what egg this is thought to represent and they are really very collectible, I have no idea if this is a very rare version but its priced to leave a good profit for the next owner and it is a small example so I assume its not a common size, never before listed... Its needing a clean but is basically in good original estate find condition, no chips or cracks just grubby, straight from an old jewelry box in a local estate. Size: Approx 4.3 cm long, max length when top is screwed on. The item "Silver Mounted 1886 Sampson Mordan Scent Bottle, Birds Egg Shape, estate find" is in sale since Wednesday, May 5, 2021.
