A great EARLY piece of of the ultimate VICTORIAN period California GOLD & GOLD IN QUARTZ jewelry consisting of a splendid with a built in bail as made for suspension. The pendant/fob locket is housed in solid 14k gold.

A highly attractive piece featuring a oval piece of gold in Quartz on the front and a piece of what looks to be agate on the back. I was told by the owners relative that she removed the strip crossing the gold Quartz stone so she could see and more clearly to the eye as a whole. The strip still remains over the agate. Both the stones are stable, despite the strip missing and the fact that the gold Quartz stone had a couple fractures as shown.
