This one reminds me of a crisp autumn day when the sun is bright and the sky is clear. Its a medium yellow tone with hints of champagne and almost an orange look to the yellow in certain lights. When compared with the lemon citrine I have for sale this week its definitely more towards an orange undertone, though its definitely still yellow.
The stone is an oval measuring about 41x24x17mm and estimated to weigh about 67 carats. The gem is held in a delicate gold frame with a lacy, looping edge. It has both a pin and a bail for a pendant on the back. The bail is on a hinge so you can hide it if you prefer to wear it as a brooch. The overall dimensions of the piece are about 40mm by 30mm. One of my dealers just bought a huge lot of brooches and pendants from going out of business antique dealer from New York and this is one. The pin and clasp work well. The citrine shows only the most minor wear under magnification and looks wonderful to the naked eye. This incredible piece weighs 20.2 grams. I have had too many packages go missing.
